Zune Software Installation HowTo

For all of you, not having an installed US Windows XP we found a solution to get the Zune Software installed.

Just follow these 6 simple Steps and you should be able to enjoy the Zune Software with any foreign Wwindows XP Version...
 

1. Downlaod the complete Zune-Software Installation Package (not the one from Zune.net) here   (Thanks to Philipp Riederle)

2. You need to know your Windows Username. You can find it under System/Users

3. Klick the "Start" Button and "run".  Now enter the command CMD and press Enter.

4. In the new window you have to enter the following commands:

    net localgroup USERS /add  (press enter)

    net localgroup INTERACTIVE /add  (press enter)

5. Now you have to add your user-name to both groups:

     net localgroup USERS "User-Name" /add  (press enter)
               
     net localgroup INTERACTIVE "User-Name" /add (press enter)

Important: Replace "User-Name" with your actual Username, without the quotation marks!
(e.g. net localgroup USERS Michael /add)

6. Close windows and install the Zune Software...

This Method should work with any non US Windows XP Pro and Home Version.
